Brickwood road-Single storey rear extension

The client’s semi-detached house had a very traditional layout. The ground floor was made up of a Living room, a very cramped kitchen that wasn’t very functional and a dining room that was rarely used.
The aim was very simple. We were to combine the Kitchen with the dining room and a new single storey rear extension. This one big room would be the hub of the house. To create the open space we removed the wall dividing the two rooms and the entire lower back wall of the property. To get as much light as we possibly could we installed Velux windows into the pitched roof at the rear. This allowed the natural light to flood through.
We worked to a fixed schedule produced by ourselves. It included everything from ground work to decoration and external ground finishes. The project was completed on time and within budget. The clients were totally thrilled and say that they spend all of their time in their new room.
